The Steps in Creating a Pool Mosaic

A "cartoon" of the mosaic is drawn to scale and the tiles are selected. The work commences in the studio, either on paper (the "reverse" method) or on fiberglass mesh.

The entire mosaic can be created in the studio!

Now the finished mosaic has been moved in pieces to the pool and special mortar is used to adhere it to the pool bottom. The mosaic is under the paper.

The paper comes off and the newly adhered mosaic is in place. The mortar must cure for several days before grout (between the individual tiles) can be applied.
